I don't think it will be too long before we use robots to study and decide instant replays, too, because they can discern time and distance in micro units.

Eventually, the people currently called "umpires" will be called "Service Techs," who are only there to maintain and operated the Umpire Robots. (To overcome resistance from the union, the former umpires will get all you can eat free hot dogs during the game).
