let's go way back, 1967. My Dad bought me a 1962 Studebaker Daytona for $325. It had a V8, 4 speed, bucket seats and twin traction rearend. It had 80,000 miles on the speedometer. That engine had NO oil filter! I found a canister oil filter housing that used a paper element from a 1955 Studebaker Speedster and installed it. I sold this car 7 years later with 158,000. I used 30-weight oil and STP.
I wish I still had it.
