One option that works well is a heavy duty wire leader for fishing lines like this: http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Duty-Wir...9156050&sr=1-1

I'm not sure exactly what is in the picture but I have seen guys just do the same with safety wire. Then place some heat shrink or tubing over the safety wire to keep it from chafing.

It doesn't provide any tension. It's just a lanyard. If the cap loosens, it will only turn so far before the lanyard tightens up preventing it from unscrewing enough that you lose the cap.

What also looks and works well is plastic coated stranded stainless fishing leader with crimp bands.

Once you get comfortable on that ZX6 you will be a lot faster. I think a 600 is the perfect track bike...

I just got back from my first trackday on the fZ1 (and in 3 years). Felt really nervous the first session. Gradually I got a little more confident and my speed increased. I decided I don't like the stock handlebars at all and will be looking for something more forward. I used the Dunlo Q2 tires and they have plenty of grip. One time I nailed the throttle coming out of turn 13 and it spun up but that was my fault...

Here are a few pics...

Unfortunately the helmet video didn't come out because it was pointed too far down. Lesson learned...

You Dragging your knee, with the wife with her hand on her thigh!!!! Now that's some kind of cool.

Glad to see I'm NOT the only one who has the issue of the Outside leg opening up/away from the tank

I always felt weird as I thought the outside leg was supposed to hug the tank.

Guess that happens on cos of the FZ1 tank being wide + foot peg position...

I had the same issue when I first was tracking my FZ1. Gotta slide back in the saddle and that will bring your outside knee right in where you can use it to grip the bike. For me that was all the way back to where I could feel the passenger seat bumping up against me.

I have the same problem. I'm 6'4. Sitting all the way back in the seat, my outside leg hangs way out. The bike's geometry just doesn't work out for me.
