When the time comes, you may want to look at the Ascend line which is Bass Pro shops in house brand. They are a little heavy, but the features (removable seat for camping!) for the price are pretty good. The one in the pic is an FS10, but the 12 footers were pretty tempting also.

He he.. brings back memories - I had an ME109 that was carved out of pink foam and finished by hand. I covered it with light fiberglass, painted on with water-based polyurethane. Flew great but fast, was the only model I've had a mid-air with. Totally flew through and destroyed a GWS (hollow foam) Zero, and I had green paint marks on my prop and spinner from the impact. No damage to mine..

new toy!

On Sunday August 5th I became addicted. I went with a friend to Apex kart track for a day of "fun, run what ya brung" races. He brought his Aprilia SXV450 and my first time on the bike was practices for the race. I came in mid-pack, which I thought was respectable. More importantly, I had a blast!

On Saturday 8/11 I went with the same friend to check out a bike. My friend took it to his place and gave it fluid changes some safety wiring and general check over, since I decided I needed to race it Sunday, albeit in a stadium parking lot. So yes, two Sundays in a row I went racing on a bike I had never ridden.

There were only 2 of us in the Open Beginner class, but I beat him and a vet racer too!

ready to race!
Oh yeah. It's a 2004 KTM450SMR with a (true) total of only 12 hours ridden!

I guess I should post my DR here. Purchased last night - '09 DR650. I removed the stickers since taking this pic.

Bought a Marmot Aspen sleeping bag last night. Really small lightweight bag, be great for backpacking and I got it because it will fit in one of my Givi sidecases. And my existing sleeping bags were 25 years old and ones I used when I was a Boy Scout. I figured it was time for an update

Something like this with the lower part of a dawg crate so my cocker can ride in comfort.

It's for the bike in the video. Yes, I have to pedal but that's better than having my 60lb akita laying on me and chewing my arm. After a few trips up and down the street, she leaves me alone.

I got enough bamboo to do a mock up for the motorcycle camper trailer I have in mind though.

Thankfully I've got several places locally to ride. One thing Pennsylvania has more than it's fair share of is rocks and hills
