Actually, that would qualify. Good luck finding one, though!

You don't have signs like these in Florida?

I've not seen one but that doesn't mean there is not one here. Must keep looking.

How far are you from Sugarloaf Mountain? Surely there is an elevation marker on the highest point on the Florida peninsula?

As a crow flies its about 40 miles. But it is dead straight accross to the other side of town so - about 1.5 hours or so on Orlando surface streets.

Actually there should be an elevatoin sign there but I don't remember seeing one. I'm going out that way Monday or Tuesday so maybe we'll see.

Google Maps Streetview?

I know where there are several in the mountains, but I was up there yesterday so I'm out of this one.

Rock Reef Pass!! Elevation 3 feet. Who's in S FL? That'd be an easy one.

Approaching 72 hours and no elevation signs, new photos that is.

How about your bike with a statue instead?

Just gonna put this out there, but I know for a fact that there is an elevation sign up at Buford Dam. The electronic lake level sign uses feet above sea level. Too bad I couldn't get up there in time. This one should be easy though...

Well, I'm gonna let you guys be the judge on whether or not this is a statue. What say you all? If not, then I have a bit more riding to do...

These turtle statues are all over Sandy Springs. This one is a tribute to the firefighters and public safety officers that were injured and lost their lives on 9.11.2001 and is in front of Sandy Springs FD Station #1.

Works for me, let's keep moving!

I took my daughter out one Saturday and we found and took pictures of her with *all* of them, except for two that had been taken in for repairs. I think it was about 80? When they bought them all in for the festival, we got the last two. Then I made a montage of them all with the official logo in the center, and make a small posted of it.

Huzzah!!!

Very cool idea! I love those turtles. It's too bad that there's not a Rossi turtle though (or is there?)...

So, next challenge...

Your FZ1 in front of a Catholic school (this could be elementary, middle, high school, or even college/university). Preferably with the sign, but a pic in front of the school will work, so long as the sign is visible.

Aaaaaannnnnd... GO!!!

Well, in your case a picture of a snowmobile in front of a Catholic school will be okay, too.

Hey, there I need to call foul. I am pretty sure me showing up in front of a Catholic school where they wear those little uniforms is just asking to be selected for sex offender status. I'll wait this one out, and shoot for a less risky one. Actually all I got near me are red neck schools. If you would only have asked for a picture in front of a tractor, or a big 4 wheel drive truck and a school sign, I'd have been your man!
