That would be a long ride from picayune.
If you ever get up around Brookhaven drop me a pm.
Hwy 462 is also known as old port Gibson road. According to Google maps it's 200 miles from picayune. Go north from Port Gibson on 61 maybe a couple miles. Take a left and you go to grand gulf nuclear power plant. Take a right and your on old Port Gibson road. Looking at it on the map doesn't really do justice to how curvy it is. They are in the process of paving it right now so I would wait a few weeks before coming that far.

That is a long way, but my son and I like to put in some miles when we get a chance. Thanks a lot , and I will let you know if we get over that way. You do the same.

Another FZ1 at the Bluff

I got up there today but couldn't ride all the way through, it started to rain a little and I turned around and headed back to the coast.

How did you get so close? I thought both sides were blocked off.

The first picture was about four miles from our place in Colorado. Horrible to watch and even more so to still go on the roads you know so well and the scenery is completely changed, like up Hwy 36 or Hwy 7.

Anyway, here is a little poem for the quest.

Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
