Air Show - JBSA

I'm glad that air shows have resumed at military bases.
In observance of Armed Forces Week, this years Joint Base San Antonio Air Show and Open House was hosed at JBSA-Lackland-Kelly Field Annex over the weekend. The weather was perfect on Sunday.
I only brought a 28-135 mm lens, so the picture sharpness is 'meh' -still enjoyed the show!

Spectacular shots man!!!

Is that an A7 near the bottom?

I love them all but the P51 with the f22 is brilliant!!!

Ah. Gotta love the Mig too. So tiny!!

Thanks - I also shot some walk around video with the Iphone and a GoPro clone and will edit that into a short Vimeo file sometime.

I just love to go to air shows. The Heritage flight with the P-51 & F-35 was cool, especially when they crossed paths upon separating. And that Mig-17 was sweet, but he left shortly after he finished his routine, so no eyeballing it on the ground.

And that is a shot of the front end of an A-7 - unfortunately all there 'is' was just a front end. 8 feet past the cockpit is where it ended. They had it, and the front of an F-5 set up for those who wanted a photo while sitting in the pilot seat, (complete with the flight helmet) for only $10. I just liked the paint scheme

Im am so glad they brought back airshows. Luckily for me when they come to the airports here they keep some of the aircraft in the hangars that i work in. Get to get extra close.

I try to go to the air shows locally at JBLM when they have them. Only left disappointed once and that was only because the TBirds weren't able to make it that particular year.
