Forget these guys and dump this thread, we have other alternatives and don't need Ermax for a damn thing!

This is just some nicely laid fiberglass right over the factory seat. I saw it somewhere else. It isn't hard to do, you should try it yourself, You will have allot of pride in it when your done. I "could" be wrong, but I doubt it.

Edited 5 Nov 10 - FYI, I am not referring to Copperdawg's piece. His is much nicer and done with a professional touch.

FZ1 Rear Seat Cowl

Hey all, I just joined up here. OK I just sent them an email too! I like the idea of it locking which I guess would already utilize the the factory locking mechanism. I saw the post about it being big enough to store an extra visor to. That is key for sure living here in Washington State. I bought my bike at Renton Motorcycle Center. They sell a lot of FZ's they said they get a lot of people asking about them. Hopefully they will start producing soon!

I think I got this figured out too, sorry if this is a repeat of someone else's on another post. The US FZ1 is the same as the Fazer 1000 in Europe and possibly Canada. The FZ-1 in the European countries is a Naked.
Here is a FZ-1 / Fazer in the US/ Europe http://faimg1.forum-auto.com/mesimag...2007%20red.jpg
http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/p.../fz1_fazer.jsp
Here is an FZ-1N (N meaning naked?)
http://faimg1.forum-auto.com/mesimag...007%20blue.jpg

http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/p...series/fz1.jsp

So on that note, FZ1 in the US is not the FZ1 in Europe it is the Fazer 1000

Nothing to figure - look a several posts up for the CopperDog link.

Ring (or e-mail) the 'Dog and you'll get a fantastic (and I don't throw words like that around readily) rear seat cowl.

Ermax have shown their dis-interest (oh, if you get 50+ people we'll make it. Oh, you have - er, well we'll still make it at some point. What's that - you've got even more people interested - er, we'll be doing when the tooling show can etc. etc. etc) - so let's show ours!!

Use a guy that makes them by hand, takes care over the product and produces something that is stunning.

Ok, so I haven't been following this whole, long-winded thread, sorry. So is Ermax the way to go or not? I will buy an Ermax if they are what they say they are and cost $102 for a group buy and don't jerk anyone around on shipping and time. It is now January 25th, 2009. How are we set for this thing? Someone experienced on this website tell me please!!!!

Something for storage is what i am thinking

1st off, if not too late (havent gotten to the last page yet to see end or current outcome) i would like to join in on group purchase too, 2006/silver, 2ndly, sitting here in the ER after a string of about 6 traumas in the past 2 hours, 3 a.m, starting to slowly crash, i am slightly dizzied and mesmerized by your AVATAR. I think i like it. haha.
