50's here, though we are supposed to be in the 20s and snowing Sunday. Wyoming has been very mild this winter. After a couple of years of a lot of snow and negative temps.

After you and Mike's pitch to live in Wyoming, I have been watching the weather up there this year. Except for this last blue norther, moisture is coming from the Pacific up through Northeastern Mexico, Texas, etc. I think that is why on average, it has rained more than snow this year. It's 59 degrees at 8:30am in Austin. Warmer weather is headed your way.

Didn't realize until I was almost halfway to work that it was only 22° and what I at first thought was just mist in the air was actually a light freezing rain.

The freeway I normally take to work was closed off, halfway through the onramp 2 cops sitting there directing traffic in the exact opposite direction I go. And the traffic was of course stopped since everyone going west was now on the east ramp and all downstream exits were choked up. I was able to jump across the median under the interchange onto a different route that was not backed up. Little muddy under there but no problem.

Biggest problem was scraping the ice off my visor. Took it slow, stopped once to clean it well with a credit card. Little slick on an overpass, slight rear step-out, but I made it to work without issue.

Yes I probably should have turned around as soon as I realized the rain was freezing. But I'm not one to stop once I get going. You know how I am about things like that.

I'm just trying to figure out how you even sit on a motorcycle with such big...well you know. Its impressive the weather you will ride through. I draw the line when there can be ice on the road.

I had no problem riding dirt bikes below freezing. But after going down after a surprise snow storm and on black ice on a sunny day, I don't do street bikes below 38F

It was 20s when I was in Big Bear last week. 30s here until 9a here this AM, a few miles from SoCal beaches. Gotta ride to the office tomorrow. It's a FJR bodywork kind of day

Frost too. Kids will be asking their parents "What's on the car? Is that snow?"

35F here this morning, at 7:00 a.m.!

I am about done with winter, already!

Going up to Beaverton, Oregon one week from today.

Kathy said that there was snow on the ground, this morning in Beaverton. Wonderful!

Oh well, we have a place in Pacific City, Oregon for four days, weekend after next. That will be fun. Might even get warmer, and no snow.

Like Pete said in the original post, if it is going to be this cold, I'd like it to be all in. We just haven't gotten much snow this winter to go with the cold.

It looks like the heart of winter is behind us. Yesterday was the third of three consecutive sunny days at 78°. Today it's only supposed to get up to 60°.

Every time I've looked at the radar in the past week it's been hammering you.

No envy.

Yup getting hammered again this week. I love it as I'm a skier and a snowmobiler.
