PC Keeps crashing when any video content is tried

When I use Chrome, the PC keeps dying when I try to view almost any graphic, either video, editing a web site, even when trying to insert a Gif.

No problems when using Edge.

What is going on? I have the latest Chrome update.

Drivers are up to date. Works fine with Edge. I uninstalled and re installed Chrome, and Chrome still crashes.

Have used Chrome for years, and now this. Odd thing, the gifs on this board - dancing chicken, take your pick - were always going at 2X speed when I used Chrome. Never did figure that one out.

If you are entertaining the idea of using a different browser; Firefox with the following add-ons works great.

Bad memory location either on the motherboard or on the video card?

How would I go about figuring that out and fixing that?

For video card memory you can download free tools such as one of these:

https://www.raymond.cc/blog/having-p...st-its-memory/

For main memory there's memtest: (this freeware may also test video memory but I don't know.)
