My 17 corners were also good, took all day. Killin' bugs and dodging old people, lots of both.

Had 3 fun days skiing at Lutsen on the northern shores of Lake Superior near the Canadian border.

Edit: First pic is from our condo on the slopes with a view of one of 4 "mountains. "

Ski in/ski out.

Yeah, we might be getting into the 40s and 50s finally, but last week's winter blast is going to take a while to clear out. So for now our season is "Mud."

We had lost all our snow except for the big piles. Thought I would get out riding yesterday and woke up to this.

Pretty much all melted off during the day but it was sloppy. Maybe tomorrow.

We're finally getting up into the 40s and 50s. Snow is melting and refreezing, roads are getting clearer but you never know if the city has scraped a street leaving water and ice everywhere. Last week's snowstorm really left some drifts though.

My favorite walk. Sigh.

Tomorrow it ends. First day of spring will be 51 degrees and sunny in the North East.

Bike's registered and insured. Heavy rains have cleaned a lot of the salt and sand from the roads, especially the well traveled ones.

All in all it was a tepid winter in New England, cold to start but little snow ( I know it could still snow... a lot).

Gonna be in the 50s/60s here as well but up north it is still so deep that I should have another good weekend or 2 for skiing and/or snowmobiling.

Was 50 here yesterday, almost all the snow is gone. Took the DRZ out after I got home last night, first ride since early January.

I also had lunch downtown, this is what the river looks like 6 feet above flood stage.

Everything is holding here, unless western Iowa and Nebraska. Now we wait for the snowmelt in Minnesota to come rushing down here.

Nice looking drizz, bradd.
They must be praying that it doesn't rain a lot in the next few days. That bridge looks to be getting close to its max specs. Cool shot.

Not sure where you have been snowmobiling, but if you go up the North Shore make sure you check the trail status for snowmobiles. Last weekend the trails around Gooseberry and Caste Danger going up the shore were flooded and washed out...some sleds got stranded and had to be recovered later. My brother, who lives up there, thinks last weekend might have been the last for snowmobiling up there unless you want to go on some very bad conditioned trails since grooming is done now.

No way would I go near the shore. So much snow in the woods up near Cook that the trails will be open.
I've been down this road many other springs where it's no snow and warm everywhere else but the trails are still great.
The awesome part is everyone shares your same opinion and we get the trails to ourselves.

April in MN, one of the few places it can be 70 degrees one day and then a few days later a statewide tornado drill can be cancelled because of a blizzard during a flood.

Yeah, last Thursday I rode to work. Yesterday and overnight we got about total accumulation of about 6" of snow. It would've probably been twice as much except it was so warm before everything that came down all day yesterday melted almost right away.

Meh. It's Minnesnowta. Happens every year.
I'm used to the snow. Even when it was warm I've been skiing up in Lutsen 3 out of the last 4 weekends.
