Red face Which Crash Knobs?

eBay seems to be awash with 06 + crash knobs/frame sliders but very few for the Gen 1 FZ.
Can someone here point me in the right direction please

Check out Motovation. Not sure if they make them for the Gen 1, but I have a full set on my 08 R1 and am very happy with them. Very well made.

Do a Google search and type this in exactly as I do here...

Yamaha Frame Sliders 2001-2005

There's LOTS of them out there. The ones wolftamer listed are out of stock but here's another set that are reasonably priced. http://www.oesaccessories.com/01-05FZ-1.html

Some of them get pretty pricey and I'm not so sure you're really getting more protection.

Good luck.

Ron

Wild hair used to sell some and probably still does.

Thanks guys. I had found these on ebay and almost purchased but thought I should ask around first.
I've just hit "but it now" and should have them a couple of weeks before Christmas.

Thanks again,
Chris.

You'll be sorely disappointed if you get the kit that includes all the sliders including the new clutch kit because, once installed, you'll discover that the clutch sliders protrude exactly where you legs go at a stop. I have to remove them now. The rest of the kit works well, and T-REx sliders have saved me tens of thousands in crash repairs over the years, so I still like 'em. Just not the clutch sliders.

There was a thread from earlydars for do it yourself sliders. Machining a bracket, forget if you needed longer bolts. I forget if they machined Delrin or bought sliders.
I seem to remember someone making these triangular mounting plates and using close out R6 sliders?
OES on ebay $35. Vortex $106. amazon lists sliders that look like Gen2 for $80 (2001-2015).

Amazon lists 20 pages Trex sliders, Gen2, no Gen1. (20 pages)
"Wild Rice's modifications" lists "rubber baby buggy bumpers" using F4 Sliders and 3/8 bolts.

"Pats FZ1 site" has 3 hole bracket dimensions for sliders.
