Minor things as I am recovering from gall bladder surgery (what a 50th year) and was a little bored.
Heated up (hair dryer) and pulled off the silly white sections of rim tape from my R1. Also pulled off the ugly red anodized rear sprocket. Once I can go back to work I'll sand blast it clean.

Really!!!!! hard not being able to ride this week as it's in the 70s this week. Such a beautiful autumn we've been having.

Cool thread and good to hear your collarbone is getting better Torch. Btw that's an awesome looking R1. Can only imagine what it's like on a track!

It's riding season out here so I mounted up some new meats on my 520EXC (Trials tire) and 250XCF-W (110 Maxxis).

Was a little worried the 110 might be too big for the little 250 thumper but so far so good.

Did a 2 day Dual Sport AMA ride up in Payson and it was awesome!

Moved rear turn signals on the SDR so that they are not hidden by the license plate:

Rode the DRZ Saturday and rode it to work yesterday, not to bad of weather for Iowa in December, mid 40's, supposed to have some 50's latter in the week.

Fitted a Hepco & Becker sport rack and an Altrider Givi Monokey mount kit to the SDR. Nice addition that makes commuting a lot more convenient.

Also cleaned up the rat's nest of wiring done under the rear seat (now where the rack is) for the LED turn signals and license plate light. There is plenty of room under the rear side fairings as they are more or less triangular with one corner protruding out to the sides. I got rid of all the blue quick connects and put in a proper Weather-Pack connector

Before:

After:

The visually astute will notice that the charcoal cannister is also gone from in there. My tool kit isn't just going to carry itself around.

Unfortunately I also discovered that one of the mount bosses for the brake light is broken I may be able to repair it but in the meantime that zip tie will keep it from falling off.

We had Christmas with my parents last weekend and my parents got me the SW-Motek rack for the DRZ I wanted. I got the Givi hardware also so I can run my existing luggage or now at least have a rack to tie stuff to.

Nice Dizzer! Really wish I would have kept mine for days like this. All it needed was the big bore kit to complete the "Eddie" set up.

Sitting at the dealership waiting for them to build my new (leftover) 2014 Yamaha YZ250.
Merry Xmas to me!

So technically I haven't done anything to it yet but pay for it.

Just got back from a 100 mile ride. Started to see some light flurries. Grabbed camera, batteries dead. Still, anyday I can ride is a good day. Merry Christmas All.

Got her home.
I sold my (steel framed) 2001 YZ250 last sunday. The dude gave me twice what I paid for it 2 years ago.
I knew I wanted to buy a newer one next year with the aluminum frame.
Then monday I found out about these new leftover 2014s for almost $3k off msrp! Couldn't pass it up.

Nice score Torch, I can already envision the wheelies and huge grin that blue baby will give you!

Finished install of some upgrades on my Florida bike, '14 Ninja 1000 ABS. Full Akro exhaust, K&N air filter, Ivans ECU reflash. All the benefits of the ECU reflash for the FZ1 have been now added to the Kawi. Much smoother throttle, lower temp for fan have been major for me.

Took the dirt bike for a spin after installing the new suspension. We had 7 inches of rain last weekend and it was sloppy as f@ck. My whole body hurts from hitting the ground. I just don't bounce like I used to.

are those acerbis guards? my cycra pro bends did not fit my pro tapers due to interference with the ignition cylinder on the left and speedo on the right.
