Exhaust options

I currently have a full Yoshi system. Are there any other slip ons that will mate to the Yoshi header, or am I stuck with the Yoshi silencer?
thanks

I believe that most slip ons would be compatible. Give us a measurement of header and I'll measure up the two types I have.

See i thought only the yoshi can would fit on the yoshi header system since it was a proprietary setup. Something with the link pipe if i remember correctly.

Can't see it being that different. I had a different can on the end of my full akra on the fz09, just had to expand it a bit, was pretty close.

I'll mess around with it too as a I have a few cans kicking around the full yosh on the fz1 as well...

http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=135433

there are a few threads out there about it, this was the first that popped up when i searched.

"All Yosh mufflers (for the FZ1) are 2 1/4" inside diameter... S/O or full... the only difference is the midpipe diameter at the header's outlet

All you need to do is get a midpipe made for the muffler that you are using... also the muffler strap or mount would have to be figured out.

Good luck and show the pics when you get it done.

Ivan "

so a little work is involved.

Call Ivan - he would know, he had a part in designing that full system..

(and what's wrong with the Yosh can?)

Nothing performance wise, just want a different look. If I can't find something cheap, then I'll just not worry with it. That's what happens when your bike is fully modded already...

Holeshot Performance.

Looks boss, sounds great, ask for "street core" to keep the noise down. Have had mine for two years. Looks stock, but isn't...
