Already diagnosed and parts ordered. Much appreciated though.

The only downside to the airbox mod is if you roll on too much throttle around 5,000 rpm, there can be a "bad resonance" and a bicycle cards flapping in the spokes sound. This is more of an issue with bikes that have had their secondary 'flies removed. The sound combo of the intake and a good exhaust is sweet indeed when on the cam with the throttle is wound. Mine has been cut for 10 years, no issues from it though.

I cut the box, did a K&N, a TPS tweek, a G2 throttle tamer, adjusted to 0 throttle cable slack, gutted the cat, a GYTR glasspack, and rerouted all the cables and harnesses out of the intake holes in the frame.

No way I would have gone back stock. The bike was pure joy to ride.

E'rbody knows somethin' ...I just know what worked for me. Sure, I could have spent another $1,500 for 15 more hp, but honestly, I could have never ridden the bike on the street to it's full potential anyway. The faster they are the quicker you can get in over your head. We all see it way too often.

So if the airbox mod isn't the solution to my throttle problem, I'd rather wait and do the whole thing at the same time.

I will probably also get an R6 tube at that point since I'm going to switch to Oxford heated grips from heat demon, and install a throttlemeister.

Look at all this money that I don't have
You don't need a reflash to correct speedo...SPEEDO-HEALER?

I'm 67 with every possible go fast part on my cycle.

Air box mod right from the get go. I had cut flies till I got my Ivan's ECU. Then I went back to stock flies. The dyno speaks for itself. 142 HP @ over 5000 feet above sea level.

BTW here in Denver we ride 12 months a year. The roads always dry out. Looking forward to trying out my new Pirelli.

Anyone have the BMC filter part number or link to it that fits after doing the Lars airbox mod?
