for shits and giggles i took this this weekend. This is only by letting off the throttle and nailing it again in 1st gear with zero clutch. You just need to be in the powerband when you do it and the front end comes right up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIKcwwpmRcg

With 16/47 gears you shouldn’t have a problem lofting the front.

Here’s one I took earlier since no one had a on bike camera view.
https://youtu.be/6lyAcKh0QRw
(Closed course, professional stunt rider, 17/47 gears)

Just get the revs into the fun zone and whack the throttle. I’m working on my distance, I’m having trouble committing to keeping the throttle opened, and when it gets about 12” off the ground I back off the throttle too much.

I will give it another go.

In my bikes defense, I am not a very seasoned rider. Only been riding for about 3 years, so rider crappyness is probably playing a big role. I probably have fear that is holding me back from really slamming the throttle.

However in my defense, my wheel base is super long. I bought chain and sprockets from sprocketcenter and they are supposed to cut chains to the appropriate length for your gearing you chose. So far on two bikes they have made the chain too long. My axle is sitting almost as far back as it can go and still a little bit too much slack in the chain.

I have 16/47 they gave me 122 teeth, and I believe people on here have run 16/47 on stock 120 teeth so I will probably end up having to buy a new master and cutting links off.

But the wheel base makes it harder to lift the front, and also I have the R1 shock. When I first put it on it was set very stiff, and I did bump the front wheel up once. Didn't expect it because I was riding as I always did with no performance mod differences. Once I softened up the shock, it did not want to come up anymore. So maybe its too soft now idk.

Morel of the story. Taking off the coffman, getting a 2 bros. Guy on here had a gool deal. Not saying it will instantly wheelie with a new pipe. But im glad this discussion has pushed me to ditch the tin can.

1st gear power wheelie

Yup, work on your technique T.P. After some light tweaking, test rode my new to me 2015, and tried. In first, I eased up to 6500 rpm, slight let-off than nailed it, came right up, no problem. Stock gearing, Leo slip on, like fermic's but stainless. No fuel changes, filter, or re-flash...yet. Just got done removing AIS, and cutting down the DB killer by half. Lots to do.
Keep trying, but remember to cover the rear brake, just in case. You'll get it.
By the way, thanks for that vid fermic37, now I know what mine sounds like. It's different riding the bike, and it doesn't sound anything like my old gen 1 with the Muzzy. More, angry I guess. They're really completely different. I'm diggin it!

"some of us ride more than we wash" statement annoys the eff out of me.

The guy also could have cut the band clamp closer to the mounting bolt. But its still better than a coffmans!

Guess I'm annoying! It's not in my garage cuz I don't have one so I don't see it everyday if I drive the truck, and it's an older, scratched up, dirty ole bitch with lots of miles. I wish I could keep it clean (like Pats bike!) but it doesn't stay like that and I just clean it whenever. I enjoy it regardless
