R1 map on a FZ1

Hi all this prob has been mentioned but has anyone one here ever tried a the 2004-2005 R1 mapping on a fz1 bring it is the same bike with only a slightly higher compression and slightly different gear ratios in 5th&6th

There is a lot more differences in the engine than just the headgasket compression and gear ratios.

Exactly, I'd be trying an FZ1 map.

Even then it might be off for your particular application.

Don’t slow your bike down. Just get a new map for your bike. Or send it all to Ivan.

To answer your question - no, nobody has because (as stated) it is not the same bike.

At least, if anyone did, they probably wouldn't admit it.
