Dude your 259lbs thats really not bad at all considering your weight. Maybe you should look into a Hyabusa for more power.

Anyways i'll be heading to the track soon. I'll be bone stock except I may strap the front end down. Hoping to knock you guys off the list ..

Holy hell, that's flying for a Gen1. Our timeslips look almost identical, I just have about 7 MPH more trap speed.

Bruce let me know if you decide to go. I'd love to try it. My Cobra would run 11.4 all day and I would love to beat it on a stock bike with a can. Rock falls (slippery rock!) is pretty strict with the rules. Cedar Falls is a easier but it's a haul down there.

This one is so much stronger on top than my last one it isn't funny. My last gen 1 was lowered 3", stretched 5, strut on the rear and did consistent 1.51-1.52 60ft times and I've got this one matching best et and pulling 5 mph more on top. I know I've still got a bit of room for improvement on this one esp. in the 60ft dept. I'm hoping I can get her into the 20's with out cheating.

This one has ported intake boots.... if you gear it right, you should see trap speeds in the 138 mph range.

By the way, what gearing are you using?

Any type of shifting device?

Still using stock gearing, it's putting me thru the trap right at the top of 3rd. Best trap speed so far was right at 135.

I'm the shifting device.

Sloride, Set it up for rock falls and I will give it a shot. I am going to order the strap that upinsmoke suggested, do you want me to order you one two at the same time? Anybody else in Minnesota or Wisconsin want in? I am posting a new post in "Exhausts, Carburation & Performance" called "2008 1/4mile setup" for the latest setups and get out of jlewis's posting here. Thanks jlewis and hopefully sloride and myself can add to your posts. (plus a little competition).

Put a 15T up front and go up at least 2 in the rear..... lower the rear a little, and put some extensions on it... also with a strap up front, and you will be very close to 10.00 @ 140 mph if you can still leave the line in the 1.5 range without it wanting to flip over.

I was thinking about setting up the chassis the same as my old one and seeing if I can get 9's on a stock motor. I had an adjustable strut replacing the shock and once I got the rear height dialed in it would just hook and go. 5.5k and a quick release (not a dump) and she'd lift the front 2-3" and scoot. I'm thinking it's time to make a new strut and play.

BTW: I'll be running at MIR Fri night if anyone wants to come out and play.

Edit: Never mind, they're just running 1/8th tonight.

An FZ1 will go 9's but you will need a longer wheelbase.

Your Gen 2 will beat that Gen 1 i am sure. I weighed 215 suited and went 10.60 the 2nd day out on the Gen 2 with a poor 1.72 60' time...

Well I went to the track last night and only got one good run as my clutch dident want to grab any longer.
First run
1.70 60'
10.300@133.05
I need to change the gearing again as im shifting to 6th just before the 1/4 line.(16/47)
Im going back to the barnett springs as the ebc springs are too weak.
Clutch lasted about 20 hard launches and only one on the track not to bad for a stock pack.
