Went to a great restaurant and had a fantastic meal with my car. Ran into a group of riders that meet up every Saturday right down the street from my house at a Wawa. I made plans to join them next Saturday and raced back on my bike to try and catch them, but was late.

I went wayyyyy past the ton and it was very stupid, but look at that grin! Pure adrenaline at 52 yo.

Rode it out for a little family get together. Wound up above Clemson at Lake Jocassee, a usually crystal clear man made lake in a valley. Cool place to ride the boat around because there’s about a half dozen waterfalls that pour into the lake that you can ride right up to.

And when I pushed the bike back into the garage at home, I looked down and noticed.

That makes almost 10k miles in under a year, with the rally coming up, I should pass that goal easily.

Went hiking and camping on the foothills trail where we launched from Jocassee, quite the pretty area and camped right by a waterfall which I sure eventually found the lake.

Tried to replace my chain with the lightly used one off of WileE's bike. Turns out DID changed their master links from model to model and the one I got doesn't match the chain. The pins from the chain are too small in diameter compared to the master link.

Couldn't get another master link before the rally so I got a new DID X-ring chain 530x130. Should be here tomorrow. I'll put WileE's chain on girlfriend FZ6 when the time comes.

It's not your fault, I should've gotten the master from Partzilla instead of trying to match with a link from a different chain (even though they are both DID 530 chains).

Threw on a 45 tooth rear sprocket to replace the 44 tooth one on my 2001 FZ1. Said 45 tooth sprocket came from a 2013 FZ1. Only had 7,624 miles on it.

The speedometer was just slightly running a tiny bit fast, so that was the main reason for the sprocket swap. Nothing to do with having a tiny bit more acceleration, through the gears. lol!

Dyno pull

Last night had some fun at a local bike event $ 35 Dyno pull
07 FZ1 with all the standard mods pulled 135 HP . Watched a few full sport liters pull 152 HP . Have had the bike for five years and it continues to amaze me . Oh yea track day last month...funny to watch the faces of a few of the guys with the full race , tire warmer , track bikes having a hard time keeping up with the guy with mirrors , center stand and a plate.

Post East Coast Rally the bike is now well over 64k, so I thought I'd inspect chain and sprockets. This is the DID setup that replaced the OEM after 37.5k trouble free miles. Overall it appears in good shape, no tight spots anywhere, rear sprocket not excessivley worn, front does show some slight hooking. I bought an OEM front with the cushions on both sides so I think I will replace it and keep riding the set.

Best and worst 10-link chain measurements are: 5.8705" (includes the master link section) and 5.8680", so it is within spec but I'll keep an eye on the section including the rivet link.

Bar end mirrors showed up in the mail right before I left town. It was the last item on my list that I really needed. I think I'm finally done tinkerin with this bike...for now...

Just finished a valve check, 38k + and all were in spec on my 06. Reassembly comes tomorrow as sleep is needed for work. Next is the air box mod and a steering damper.

That's gorgeous. I'm usually a plain white lid guy. Is that a GT-Air in Pendulum?
