The modding is underway

Well not only did I not plan to buy a bike this year, needless to say I didn’t plan on modding a bike. BUT I forgot how fun it is... At times the research is more fun than the mods themselves.

So the short list: *updated*
Shogun sliders
ZGDB in dark smoke - huge improvement over stock!!
LED flushies up front
Rear integrated LED and fender removed
Corbin saddles front and back with backrest ( thanks fellas )
OPT 7 LED headlights
Stompgrip
Speedohealer V3
Power Bronze belly pan
EBC HH pads
Full Ivan treatment
-PCV
-ECU flash
-Full Yosh R77
-Ais removal w/Ivan plates
-Lars Air box mod
-K&N filter
-Graves Velocity stacks
-O2 sensor eliminator

Braided lines are next along with a Denali soundbomb.

Still playing with risers haven’t made up my mind yet which ones I like better.

I don’t think I’m gonna play with gearing.
Maybe suspension next year.

The pegs are fine
The bars are fine ( I might go lower...undecided )

I truly think the only thing I am going to do at this point ( other than suspension ) is fix the fueling and get some air through it. FLASH, PCV, AIS removal and full exhaust.

I need to start researching tires.

But other than that Iím done I think. What did I miss??
lol I can set you all up at one time..lol complete suspension and complete Ivans..done!!..lol well anyhow have fun

Yep, already been in touch with Ivan. He gets the nod for the full makeover I just didn’t list it that specifically.

I did! On May 5th. I wasnít really even shopping for a bike, I was more or less poking around on the web to see what a couple year old FZ1was going for. And thatís when it happened. I stumbled upon a NEW 2013 with 12 miles. The price was right so I dropped the cash and went and got it.

I just went through this.

Full Ivan’s , it’s now possibly the best “carbureting” bike I’ve ever had.

R1 rear shock

R1 radial master cylinder. Hel lines.

Michelin power RS, 190/55 rear.

16t front, the taller rear tire made it really needed.

Cut down touring windscreen.

Integrated taillight, flush mount front turn signals.

Protaper risers, rizoma ma-08 bars.

Corbin.

Now I need a speedo healer. I’ll put R1 forks on it at some point also.

I’m thinking about making a set of rearsets as well.

I definitely need to get the brake lines updated. Still shopping and reading on em. I am pretty sure I have galfers on the gen1.

And I have found that I just can’t stand the stock pads. I have ran an upgraded pad for most of the Gen1s life and have gotten used to the better bite. So that will be ordeeed soon as well.

I checked my speedo to phone on my way home from work yesterday after putting on the 16t front sprocket. It reads fast by 7%, so I bought a speedodrd (damn you amazon!). It’s always 1 more thing...

The speedo is already very optimistic without a gear change. Mine was 6mph fast at 85 which is also 7%. However I was under the impression that the IVAN updates fixed the speedo.

Thanks for the heads up on the lines!!

I didnt check it before tire change and gearing change. I also didn’t request any Speedo correction. Maybe it’s corrected if it’s stock tire and gearing.

Get the Fren Tubo brake lines from PJ. I dont have them because my bike already had braided lines, but I saw the Fren Tubo lines on a bike and the fit is amazing.
