R1 Fork Rebound Adjuster Popping Out

I have 04-06 R1 forks on my bike and noticed the other day that the left side rebound adjuster (the top adjuster that you put a screwdriver in to adjust) pops out a bit when I push the front of the bike down. I can press the adjuster down and it pops back in.

Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?

I have my original forks still so also wondering if I can swap parts from those to this. I know the fork caps are different part numbers but maybe I can swap the rebound adjusters from one bike to the other? Thoughts?

Did you change fork fluid and overfill them?

I changed the fluid, didn't overfill them. Would overfilled forks do this? I can always drain some out.

Has anyone seen this happen before? I ordered new seals and fluid and will be diving into this issue next week. Would love to hear from anyone who has experienced it before I disassemble everything.
