Unsupported file downloading from this site

Lately, when logging onto this site from my phone, it keeps trying to (and sometimes succeeding), download a file. So far, I've been able to just delete that file out of my "Downloads" folder, but it is concerning. Anyone else having similar experience? I'm also getting it on ADVRider.

No. You're being invaded.

Nope. Possibly a compromise, maybe just a dumb/buggy browser or plugin.

When making an inquiry like this it's helpful to state:

- phone model
- phone operating system version
- browser and version
- whether you have any installed plugins or extensions for the browser
- whether you run any security tools, anti virus etc
- if your apps are all up to date according to the app store for your operating system
- step by step on how to reproduce. EG what link you're following to this site (most folks don't login repeatedly).
- while you probably shouldn't open the file, its name and size may offer some clues as well.

Kyocera Duraforce Pro (E6820)
Hardware Version 1011
Android 7.1.2 with security patch May 5, 2018
Software Version 5.081AT
Google Chrome for the browser
Don't know of or about any add-ons or plug-in's

When on this phone, I access the site via a short cut I created from Chrome. So no, technically, I am not "logging in", but just opening a page. Perhaps this is the issue? Does FZoA have a dedicated app?

These files can easily get downloaded if I don't "deny" them in time, though they are quick to download. So far, the ones that have slipped past me appear to be going into the SD card's "Downloaded" folder. What they do, if anything, are unknown to me and I have never tried to open one, I just delete them.

While I'd use the working assumption you've been compromised it could still be something harmless.

You didn't say what the link in your shortcut is. That may or may not help. EG let's say the trailing l (lower case L) was left off the link in that shortcut. Chrome might try to download it rather than open.

Have you noted the name of one of these files before deleting it?

It looks like there are newer security patches available for that phone, Nov 2018 etc.

Next time it happens, I'll try to get a screen-shot. Still sort of new to this Android stuff, the iPhones I've had never had this sort of crap come up. I've only had this type of thing happen when accessing 2 websites, this one, and ADVRider.com
