Podcast Recommendations

I'm looking for some new podcasts to listen to.

I generally enjoy interview type as opposed to someone just ranting and raving.

Pop Culture, Science, History, Sports.

Lite Politics or business

This American Life, Serial, RadioLab, Invisibilia, and Wait Wait don't Tell me keep me entertained. On a drive to Louisiana from VA, I listened to about 20+ hours of This American Life straight. Kept me alert and driving. Very interesting topics usually.

Dan Carlin has two, hardcore history and Common Sense, both are good unless you don't like Political analysis. If that's the case you may not like Common Sense. Sceptics guide to the universe is decent. I like Joe Rogan's podcast, it's a bit... well let's just say he's a pot head.

I've only listened to one in my life as I have no computer.

Nick Ienatsch. No BS. Just great riding tips.

Marc Maron's WTF podcast is very good, especially the one with President Obama.

The Off The Air podcast with Chick McGee is also very good.

Kristi Lee Uninterrupted is good.

While it costs $49/year, the Bob and Tom radio show is well worth it. I download the 4 hour show and listen on my iPod while driving. They have comedians on almost every day and it's a hilarious program.

I stumbled on RadioLab a few days ago and it is just great! The episode on not allowing IQ tests on black kids in California even if the parents demand it was very interesting and informative. And the episode on finding Einstein's brain was good too. Another one is how, although very rare, cosmic rays can, and have, flipped bits in computer memory.

Highly recommended

I've been catching up on episodes of "Something off with Andrew Heaton"
Since he has no real advertisers he makes up his own.

I listen to the Jocko Podcast, Jordan Peterson Podcast and the MeatEater podcast. Mostly it's just Jocko and the other two I get in when I can during the week.

Many of the suggestions here are great. I almost always enjoy Fresh Air, in interview program hosted by Terry Gross.

I listen to Jocko's "Good" once a month, when I need it!

I just heard Dan Crenshaw on Joe Rogan's podcast where they talked about Jocko for a minute. It was great.
