Gen 1 riders - Last 5 MultiGauges. Ever.

I have 5 more MultiGauges. These are the last of the run of 50 I made in 2015-2016. To my knowledge there will never be any more of these made. I'm certainly not going to make any more, and I'm pretty sure Schlumpf won't either. The bike is nearing 15 years out of production and there is just not enough demand to keep producing them.

These aren't really going anywhere, but I'd like to send them off to people who can use them. If you'd like one, please post up in the order thread or send me a PM.

The price is $200 shipped. International shipments are no problem.

If you've never heard of the MultiGauge, aka The Gauge of Eternal Coolness, check out the whole history here.

I really don't need one but I want one. Six months from now if you still have one I will buy it.

You only think you don't need one. Fast forward to after you get it; you'll wonder how you ever rode without it.

I mean, you didn't used to need your cell phone, did you? Same thing.

Listen, I think this friggin' gauge is the SHIZZLE. I LOVE it and always have. I've tried to get a couple friends of mine to pony up and they are complete asshats about it which I neither get nor respect but that is between friends.

ANYWAY, I think the gauge is essential. I love having the constant readouts for water temp, gear position, voltage, ambient temps, etc... I added GPS chip and it comes in handy with compass headings, speed readouts and so forth. All of this information is damned useful and help me stay ahead of the bike and keep it healthy. So much better than idiot lights that only come on AFTER there is a serious problem.

Do yourself a favor and get the gauge.

Grommet, when you get to the last one, let me know as I may take it off your hands. Possible new FZ build for me down the road.

Best
Ron

Hey Patrick, If you are a Facebooker you should post these up on the FZ1 owners group.

There is a lot of traffic there....

I still haven't worked on mine to find out why it isn't working correctly... that's what I get for buying it used on ebay. But with a cracked subframe, the bike isn't moving anytime soon.

I wanted one primarily to be able to correct the speedometer for gearing changes. I didn't think having a gear indicator would be that big of a deal but I reference it all the time. I still try to shift to 7th gear occasionally but not as much as I used to.

I was able to resurrect a couple I thought were dead (one just needed a temperature sensor wire soldered on, another had locked software but I was able to unlock it), and I've sold 3 of them through Facebook, so there are 4 left.

I've been riding the FJR lately and it has no ambient temp, electrical system voltage, or gear position display. They are on the MG and come stock on the KTM. I miss all them.

I'm excited for mine! I went and rode the mountain this morning with no gauges, it was weird not having a speedo.

Your gauges are in a box on my desk . . . Not showing your speed at all. Weird.

They're all gone now, except for a couple that had speedo-healer related issues and I replaced. I can't sell them as good units but if you want one I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping.

I'll take one of those with issues off your hands for shipping cost. I don't need the speedo-healer function anyway since I am already setup with a speedodrd that works fine (I assume that will work?). I'll PM you with my address to figure how much for shipping and how you want payment.

Hey Patrick, for shipping cost, I'll take one as well. I have a project in mind to add some functionality so one of these would be perfect in my '02. PM inbound.

Replied to both coat4gun and iluvmyfz1. I'll also post up here about what's left in the box later tonight.

And as the amazing MultiGauge rides off into the distance after 15 fantastic years of awesomeness, look what is coming along the pike to take its place ...

http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,25536.0.html

Thank you Schlumf and grommet for creating and sustaining the MultiGauge for all these years.
