Evaporated yet another MC tire. One yesterday, one today. It will make it home from Arkansas but just barely.

I've seen rotopax mounted a lot of places, but never on the outboard side of a pannier. How's that gonna go if you go happen to go down on that side? I mean, I'm sure they're sturdy, but just how sturdy are they?

They are pretty thick. Only place I have ever seen them mounted is on the outside of the pannier, or directly to a pannier rack with no pannier. But point taken, always possible that there would be a gallon of fuel running out in a crash.

Post a pic of the old front one, not rolling eyes or shaking my head....really.

280 miles of taco tasting-car show-nap at the lake-fiddle farting on a perfect 75 degree zero traffic Sunday. You can record football and racing to watch a few hours later, you can NOT record good days with the people and things you see.

Put the BMW away this weekend, it and the FZ1 are asleep for the winter. Still more riding to be had but not on those bikes. Hope to get a ride in this weekend but it will be on the FJR, much better for cold weather.

Went to Bell Mountain (thanks Cruzman for showing it to me) on the Concours with coworkers. Ran into paragliders. It was cool watching them literally jump off a cliff.

Yesterday I changed the oil on the R6 in prep for track weekend at Road Atlanta. Also changed the windshield with a clear one so I can record what's in front of me

Brought 3 of them into the house for the winter. Still some dirt riding to be had over the next several weekends.

I think the FZ1 is done for the year, but the other bike will still get used for a while - depending on the weather. Put around 120 miles on the Vstrom yesterday in the wind and sleet.

Same. Just cooled off enough for my first track day of the season! It's cooled off to a refreshing 85° today

Starter sounds different on the KTM. Easier to turn the engine, and less distinct on the compression strokes while the starter is running. Time for a valve check. Probably have a tight one. Still running fine, and no loss of power, but needs looking after.

Rode the FJR to work today. I finally registered it a few weeks ago (Texas plate was good through September) but forgot to change the plate. Realized halfway to work I was riding dirty. No worries, the cops were all busy with other more important business. Changed the plate after I got home.

SDR did not sound right @ idle and low rpm, try stuffing some sound absorbing material in that exhaust thingy. Cops don't look at tags until they pull you over.
Fiona is good for a warm commute on chilly days, snow tire would look cool and make a nice howl.

Spent time while doing laps imagining my mini mx track layout.

Rode a bunch of leafy single track this weekend on the dirty bikes.
Tricky to keep track of the windy trails with the downed foliage.
