Another Bridgestone Rebate thru 5/31

https://www.jakewilson.com/l/2017-Br...ay-Rebate-Info

Up to 4 tires!!

BT016 is probably the only one of interest. Is a good B-Group rated tire in tire shootouts. http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/2010/1...arison-review/

Before rebate:

180/55 = $100
190/50 = $109
190/55 = $114

And if you have an account with jakewilson, you get the rebate and their "JWCash". Not shabby. I have like 30$ JWCASH in my account.

Don't use BT-016 on the track - they get greasy and don't stick at end of life. Good street tire, however.

We talking like beginner/moderate trackdays? Or like on your own, rip it up, go crazy, track days ??

Either way, its a good rebate.

I loved the BT016 but I've had them get greasy after too many runs on blood mountain on a hot day, I can only image it could be worse at a track. I've only got about 700 miles on the S21 but it hasn't shown the same issue yet. Seems they took a good tire and made it better if you're a Bridgestone fan.

I got 9000 miles out of my S21 front on my FZ1. Love it paired with a ST rear, and it outlasted it by 2K miles. Put a full set of the S21 on my 06 SV650S. Can't wait to take it on the track. The S21 reviewed very well when put on a international circuit with literbikes. The front being more impressive than the rear according to them. But I'm excited to see how they do (I'm a track newb) and how long they last.

So the real question is, do you get a set of BT016 for 150$ after rebate, or a set of ContiMotions for the same price for winter commuting boring season? I wonder which would last longer hah

Or the BT016 for commuting, I rode on mine daily for over a year with no issue. I can't speak for the Contis, never tried them.

I ran the BT016's for three trackdays here in the texas heat and didn't have any problems with them. They held up just fine and didnt' experience any sort of greasing up issues. I took it pretty easy on the FZ1 as I've gotten older and dont want to lay it down, but can push it at a pretty good clip if i wanted to.

That is cheap as chips. I may hold out for the next deal on a set of S21s though.

Grommet speaks decently of the Conti's. He's done it all with em. I picked em up cheap but only put the rear on, I like my S21 front. Even my mechanic warned that they are sticky, but slippery.

You can break the rear if you really goose it in 1st gear and its not warmed up.
I dropped the pressure to 34 in the twisties and it went almost edge to edge down in TX Hill Country. Not was good feeling as the T30 or others, but, it did better than I thought. This Contirear is only going to get around 4K miles I think before flat spotting horribly.

Im interested to see how many miles I will get out of my S21 rear on my SV650. I only ride it occasionally and to track days. I'm hoping like 5 or 6 track days and maybe 2000 miles?

But I'm curious how long it would last if I actually used the Sv650 more.....they say the S21 is supposed to get 30% more than the S20. And my S21 front lasted 9K on the FZ1, with 2 big long trips, including the Arkansas gather and Deals Gap

S21s came stock on my buddies new gsx s1000. He is averaging 2500 HARD miles out of a rear and around 6k on his front. But he loves them and doesn't plan to switch back. Now if only I could kill these angel gts (still a good all around tire!) on my bike and get the s21s mounted, time for a sticky tire.
