The pass on the sportbike followed by the near high-side save was epic.

He almost had to layer down there, changed his mind halfway into the maneuver.... Seriously though, mad skills and will soon die riding like that in a t shirt.

We had a guy ride with us on one of the West Coast Gathers once, on a Kawasaki Mean Streak of some sort, with ape hangers. He was a friend of a forum member. Dude was pretty fast, and had no problem keeping up. I asked him why he rode that kind of bike, and he pointed out how short he was, and said he was more comfortable on it, because he could flat foot it. He also almost got in a fight because some local rednecks in Fortuna picked him out as an easy target because of his size, and we "weren't from around here". The FZ1OA persevered, and no blood was shed.

That was Tim. Good guy. Don't think he was on the board. A friend of photohawk.

Once on a WCG we were headed south on the tasty section of 1 out of Leggett and came upon a dude riding an older, well-used, Harley custom. He was running it hawte enough I wasn't going to make a pass on the street with any margin so settled in and admired his skill. No luggage of any sort so probably a local. After a bit he took a line 6" off the fog line and waved me by. They's rare but out there.

I have a sportster in my stable. Although it is a lot more agile than most Harley's. It is no way, shape, or form like a sport bike. This guy is crazy/impressive how he rides it. But still pretty squiddy.
