Sammax donations

In case some of you haven't followed the "I have cancer again" thread, Donnie Daniels (Sammax) passed away on the 26th. Read Steve's post here:

http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/forum/sho...&postcount=285

Steve posted a link to a donation site, but I was afraid it would get buried and overlooked in that thread. If ever there was a good cause, this one's it in my opinion. Donnie was 51, and left behind a wife and 6 children. It would be nice if we could together make a meaningful donation in his memory.

I'm suggesting we donate in the name of the FZ1OA, assuming we can all use that group name when donating. Of course do whatever you see fit. I'm going to donate now.

https://www.crowdrise.com/weloveyoud...ser/jennyburch

Thank you all.

Yes, it looks like we can all use FZ1OA as the source of the donation. But again, do what you see fit.

Thanks Des.

Just to clarify, are we pooling our funds somewhere and then donating one sum? Or are we donating individually, and putting FZ1OA as the donor name?

Individually and putting FZ1OA as the donor. Just my suggestion. Someone who knew the family personally would probably want to use their own name though.

From the donation site:

"Donnie's passion was his motorcycle and his dirt bikes. He spent many hours tinkering with them in his man cave (otherwise known as the garage), passing what he knew on to his sons. He couldn't wait to ride the Tail of the Dragon again with his biker friends and become one with his fizzy."

I told him a week ago I would see him at the next rally. He said "Yeah you will!". His attitude was amazing but we both knew it was empty. If I wouldn't have had to get repairs done at Cruzman's, I was going to go to the Birmingham area and get a hotel and finally say hey.
