Well I am back

I sold my 2002 FZ1 a couple years ago and bought a 2009 Fat Bob. I love the Fat Bob and have done a lot of work to it but I missed my FZ1 so I started looking for another one. When I purchased my 2002 I was looking at the Gen 2 but at that time didn't have the money for one. So I kind of settled for the 02 but it turned out to be very nice. Well I found one right here on this sight. I just sent payment for the 2012 FZ1 being sold by Devo55 in the classifieds. Its a real nice looking bike with all the right mods done to it. I am very happy with the deal and cant wait for it to get here.

Yes I will be keeping the Fat Bob and just adding to the stable. Wife doesn't get it but I know you guys will. lol
Now the wait begins because I have to have it shipped to me from Ohio and I am in Washington state.

Well already hit the first set back. Truck driver called PO and said he wont be able to pick up the bike until Monday now due to Transmission problems. Just sounds like an excuse to me. AAHH my luck. I doubt this will be the first set back.

Update,, bike was picked up from the PO today. Its on its way to PA to their shipping hub. From there it will go on a truck headed to the west coast. Don't know how long it will take but the wait is killing me. Oh well hopefully good things come to those who wait.

The bike showed up today at 8:45am. I had to come home from work then go right back. Got home and did a quick inspection, tire pressure, chain slack and installed my new plate. I went on a quick 13 mile ride because weather sucked. All I can say is this bike is going to be fun. Just filled out the Ivan’s reflash form as that will be done here shortly Alain with the install of a PCV , nodded air box and block off plates. I do love my Harley but getting back on an in-line 4 makes me feel young again. Bike is super clean and runs very well. Throttle a little snatchy when shifting gears the back on throttle but I am sure a reflash and PCV along with more saddle time will cure that. Very excited to put some miles on this machine. Have to figure out how to download pics off my phone.

Did my first 100 mile back road trip today. I Love the bike. The suspension works great for my weight, its fast... only thing that got sore is my arse but that will take some break in of the corbin seat. I love the way the seat allows me to move around with my leather pants. Slick but not too slick.
I installed the proton front flush mount signals that came in the box of extra parts, installed the Lennon's mirror eliminators and installed a set of cheap ebay bar end mirrors. Also removed the faring sticker. Bike looks super clean. I ordered the integrated tail light to eliminate the huge stock blinkers. LOL

The bike ran so good that I will wait until winter to have the ecu reflashed and install the PCV along with the modded air box and bmc filter.

Did I mention how fast this bike is...LOL Well I have been on a Harley for the past 2 years and 2 years before that on the Gen 1. I feel the Gen 2 is faster and handles much better even though the Gen 1 had AK 20 front and Penske rear.

Oh man I think I like the FZ1 better than the Harley uh oh
Just rode the back to back and the yamy just feels better all around. It’s going to be hard for me to keep the Harley in the garage. Got to resist the urge to let her go lol

They both have their place. I knock HD hard, probably because I miss my streetglide so much. Keep both and enjoy them when you want. Fast is okay but, when you wanna cruise.....
