I am not sure what they will look like. But I think now that everyone has been sending emails, Ermax will recognize there really is a demand and will show us some pics of the ones they will produce for us. Anyway, below is a picture of their rear seat cowl for the 2006+ FZ1 naked version. I can only assume it will be similar. I do know the Naked rear seat is not as wide as the Faired version, and the seat is a bit different in shape.

Mayhem I gotcha! I will assume everyone who has posted sending an email will be on the group buy and receive the lower $102 price. FYI I think we are at 21 email confirmations!!! Way to go all of you...Tell your friends

Lightbulb Question?

If you can make them out of fibreglass as stated, "could" you make a smugglers truck similar to the Corbin one ?

Same sort of principal i am guessing ?

Something for storage is what i am thinking

With all of us emailing in I am sure Ermax knows that there are people on the other side of the pond very interested in one of these. They would make a killing since they would be the only producers.

I am curious to what it will look like as well. I have the feeling it will look exactly like the European Naked one, which is fine by me!

Thanks medburd that is a good idea. I thought that maybe Ermax could post in the vendor's section.

Also, I wanted to let you all know that I wrote Neil another email today (about 2 min ago). I think I counted 30 members thus far. I asked him if we were on the right track, how everything was going with a prototype, and if there was anything else he needed. I hope to receive an email from him tomorrow, which I will post to the thread as soon as I get it.

Just informing all of you so that you know I am following up with Ermax. I will stay on them until they ship it out!!

Here's the email I just got from ermax, seems there's some confusion about the price, Gerlbaum, you've got prices listed as $, but they are the amounts listed in british pounds. Still a good price though.

Hi there

If sufficient orders can be obtained to produce this. The supply and ship price for x 1 seat cowl in a factory colour would cost

126.74 GBP
=
259.090 USD

1 GBP = 2.04427 USD

1 USD = 0.489173 GBP

However if group buy was organised then discounts could be applied, perhaps its something the forum would like to do.

I will be keeping your details on file and getting back to you as soon as numbers wanting this item look close.

Neil

Hi ironbutt bubba, you are right I did confuse the price. I thought I corrected it with a post on page 2. If it isn't clear the individual price is $259 not $126.

Here is the response from Neil that I received today.

Greg
Yes it seems to be going well, give it till next week and I will speak to the factory, there have been a couple of people interested in the group buy option.

I wrote back that I think most of us would be interested in the group buy option. So I guess we have to see what happens next week.
