New helmet

These are HJC RPHA10 helmets(my Korean twin must be the model for the XL size of the RPHA line) that are painted in Yamaha graphics. Been eyeballing these for a couple of years, they started out around $459 and have dropped to $200~.
I tried my best to love my new Bell Star Carbon, but after 2 rides I've decided it doesn't get along with my long head.

Nice! The RPHA's are a little too round for my noggin, but indeed excellent helmets. Great price on that as well!

You must have a narrow head, mine is a tweener. Keeps me out of most Shoei except the X series.

Shoei RF-1200 fits absolutely perfect. My Arai RX-Q is slightly more round, and my Bell RS-1 (RIP) about the same as the Arai. The RPHA was just a slight tad more round than the Bell, thus too loose.

That Yamaha colorway is pretty cool, I have not seen it before now.

Man, that really pops! Just beautiful. And great photos, by the way!

Wonder if that would fit my Shoei RF1100 head?

Is this a Yamaha only part number?

My head isn't a Shoei head, so I can't advise. My head is less than round, kind of an elongated oval. My forehead doesn't work in a Shoei, except for their race series(X11,12..) they tend to be tighter and narrower.

It's amazing what cell phone cameras have become, that's just point and shoot pics with my nearly 2 year old Google Pixel XL.

And it appears to be the Yamaha part number Y1E-L801X-20.

Well, my head does fit a Shoei X-11. Don't know about a X-12, but should think the fit would be similar to a 11.

I found a number of these HJC helmets on E-B*y. Right around two bills. Would like to find one to try on, to check on the fit.

Just wondering if the blue color, is close to the gen.1, purplish/blue?

Anyway, thanks for the info. Do enjoy your new helmet. Looks fantastic!

It's a little more blue than purple blue. The X series fit a little different than the regular RF series to me. I've had an X11 and X12 and they fit pretty much like the RPHA to me. The HJC fits so snug that I almost don't have to use the chin strap. On the HJC RPHA, the XL and 2XL are the same she'll with different pads. I like to find 2XL on sale for under 100 and swap in XL pads for $30.

Good looking lid Sir. Great price.
I, weirdo in the group, rode a super light CF for a day and discovered (oddball) that a little more mass makes for less movement in dirty air caused by traffic. Many variables there, lid shape and bike aero prominent.

Very nice! I've had 3 HJC helmets and the L fits me perfectly. I have their CF lid and it is very, very light.

I'm on my second HJC, and will likely stick with it. Their Small works for me!
