Looks like Bates may be getting out of the motorcycle boot business as all of the styles are discounted. I ordered a pair and had to send them back because they were to small/tight...very narrow. Also one of the lace loops was not even sewn. I was surprised it was not noticed prior to being shipped. They offered to ship out another pair at no charge due to the quality issue but it didn't matter due to the fit.

However, If you can get a pair at a large discount and they fit ya well it is probably worth a go.

I usually get 1/2 size bigger because I remove the insole & put a decent $40 insoles for more support and comfort during walking, I basically do that with all my motorcycle boots

I have put several thousand miles on mine. My left boot has the more of the tread torn up, I am not sure if it was because of the Vortex rear-sets.

They are waterproof, BUT when you get them filled with water it will not escape until you take the boot off.

They are comfortable to walk around in. I often wear the boots for my commute and wear them in the office all day.

They are hot in warm weather. I would love a pair just like these with vents, I just cant justify buying another pair of boots.
