Mystery Cable?

I came across this dangling cable while attempting (and failing) to break the bead on the rear of my newly acquired 2010 FZ1 to replace a dry-rotted valve stem.

After a bit of searching, I'm fairly certain of what it is, but I'd like to have confirmation and a bit of insight on how to reinstall it properly.

Thanks in advance.

Exup cable, should be removed. Locate the exup motor under the seats and lift the cable off, after your ecu gets flashed you can remove the motor.
