Who's the biggest Yamaha fan boy?

I would say I am in the running.

This 2020 FJR1300 ES makes #25 for me in my lifetime.

Well... Since I own three Yamaha items (FZ1, t-shirt & handkerchief) I'm in the list somewhere, but I hope someone is bigger than my 230 pounds :-)

Are we counting dirt bikes, jet skis or snowmobiles?
I have had several starting in the Seventys, about the time you were born!
I would have to sit down with pen and paper to figure that out!
I have always felt that Yamaha makes the most well rounded bikes.
I test road a couple FJRs but couldn't make my leg work very well with it so I wen't with the Concours 14 but always thought the FJR looked better.

I was born in the mid 60s...

But yeah, I'm talking all Yamaha powersports.
I have had 4 different ATVs, 4 different YZ250s, and 3 different snowmobiles.

In addition to my two (at the moment) Yamaha motorcycles

- C-40 classical guitar. A phenomenal value, entry level price but quality that will take you up to the point you need to spend thousands.

- Cross Connect ebike. Perfect for getting me around the Back Bay where some of the climbs would tax my knee

2015 ES? Or is it a 2019? Nice! Let me know what you think of the ES. I'm on my second "A" model.

Lemme see:
1989 FZR600
2005 FZ1
2002 FZ1
2015 FJ09
2008 FJR
2015 FJR
2012 Super Tenere
2007 FZ1
2017 FZ-09
2008 WR250R
2011 WR250R (kind of...was my bro's and I held it for him for a while to sell it for him)
2013 FJR...

Guess only 11 (+1) yammies for me.

2020 ES. I believe they only offer the ES this year. I added that info to the first post now.
I have not had time to experiment with it. I've only put 100 miles on it so far.

I'll ride anything.

Within reason.

Can't even come close to contending with anyone on quantity, but I've owned 4 starting back when Yamaha was yellow and I still own them all. In fact I've only sold two motorcycles in my life and I regret one of them.

They say you meet the nicest people on a Honda. I’d revise that to FZ1, I can’t remember meeting any members here who aren’t some of the nicest people you’ll meet, even most of the non board members we go talk to out and about at the local hang outs.

With that said I’ve had 4.

-highly modified pw50 I started racing when I was 4
-tt250
-Fz1
-wr450f

started with a yamaha timberwolf, yz426f, and the two fz1s.

So not quite as bad, but yamaha is really the only brand i enjoy working on, their engineers seems to be the best with mechanics in mind. I HATE working on my GFs cbr.

I've only owned 4. '08 FZ1 (should never have sold it), '13 WR250R, '17 FZ10 and a '06 R6 Track bike. R6 is still here. The others have moved on.

Started in the mid-70's on my TY80, then had a YZ80 for awhile. Really miss the TY and keep on the lookout for one to rescue. When I was 20 I rode my XS400 for about 2 years in Atlanta traffic, while they were building spaghetti junction. Besides the FZ also have an older R6.

Always thought Yammies were engineered well and as previously stated, fairly easy to work on and service.

I could see a RD350/400 in my future, as well as a DT250/350. Just for fun.

Not sure we'll move on to an FJR or similar later, but those Connies seem silly fun and comfortable.
