How not to enter turn 1

Was at New Jersey Motorsports Park last weekend, got a funny short clip where somebody tried to pass everybody at once on the main straight, then enter turn 1 from completely the wrong line at 30mph too fast. Tire smoke ensues...

Harley Rider decided to try them thar Rice Rockets for the first time at the track. All rear brake, all the time.

Funny thing was, while riding the dirt bike this past weekend in Utah, I found myself using the rear brake more. The reason was I was in a 75 mile long race, and the front brake fingers resembled a prehensile type claw arrangement at times late in the day. The right foot was still working though, and actually in the really fluffy talcum powder like silt, using the rear is better anyway.

The right hand felt like this at times - not good for fine front brake lever control

I used the rear brake in the dirt a lot. I often used it to turn. I didn't use the front all that much because it's easy to low side if you hit it too hard.
