Yup.... DID that! The sad thing was, it was (I think) the third time I was changing the brakes on my car... I thought it was odd, but just didn't think more of it, despite never remembering doing it in the past.... Yea, that was embarrassing.

I've ridden them.. they are nice, but I immediately missed that rush you get when the FZ1 goes "illegal"...

Getting the ducky ready for the track again this year. Changed rear sprocket size and chain. Next is the belts, clutch master (leaking) and oil change.

Thanks. I demo'd one and really liked it. I need something different at this point and it's quite different from the FZ1.....in many good ways.

And I knocked out the belts on Friday. Note: if you do this on your own, marking the belts and pulleys is a must.

Went for a ride with a local friend, one of the other 2 SDR owners in Wichita. It was the first time I'd had the bike on any kind of twisty road. The roads we have here in KS are not great, but there are a couple of backroads that have a few curves.

What to say about this bike? Wow. It's just awesome. Light, powerful, agile, sure-footed, excellent road feel through the bike . . . I could go on, but suffice it to say it's a fine running machine that does its job exceptionally well.

Huge tank bag.
How is it that you have sequential tag numbers? Random luck?

Another DRZ ride

I'm thinking a few more weeks before the FZ is out, still pretty sloppy out there. Was a decent day for riding, 43 and sun. With snow and really cold temps coming in latter today.

Good on you Brad for getting out there in the winter. I'm too paranoid of salt residue getting all up in that $h!t. They spread it thicker than manure up here.

good catch, Andy.

By the way the FZ1 MRA Vario screen I have mounted on the SD makes a huge difference. I swapped bikes with Don, who has an Ermax screen, for part of the ride. Night and day. Now I know a full naked bike is not my thing. I couldn't wait to get back on my bike. The screen is definitely a keeper.

Patrick. I showed the boys pimping the SDs at the KTM display at the IMS your photo above. They dug it.

Looking good gents. I took the FJR out for 200 miles and keep asking myself why am I looking at other hardware ? In current form it's damn near perfect.
I wish I had snazzy gold wheels though.

Thanks for showing it off for me. Pretty much everyone who sees this bike likes it. Everywhere I go, people are looking at it. A few make comments. My friend Tim says it's ugly, but he's just jealous. ;)

Being looked at is not really my thing; I just like the bike because it's cool. And a blast to ride. I am so looking forward to AR and some trackdays this year
