Torch, that is a sweet photo! That bike looks like way too much fun.

Just completed the annual Spring pilgrimage to Moab on the dirt bike with my broken down crew of middle aged dirt bike riding misfits. A good time was had by all. Two of them bought new bikes (KTM 350 XC and a Beta 300) when they got back.

Foolish old men. No matter what they ride or how hard they try, they will never catch me and my mighty Husaberg 450

Installed a Healtech Quickshifter on my track bike. It was actually pretty easy all things considered. And I was surprised how clean the engine bay was when i pulled the airbox out to get at the coils. The bike has relatively low miles and I believe has never been ridden in the rain, so maybe it shouldn't surprise me.

Setup is through the cell phone which was really easy - everything is prompted and even a bonehead like me got through it with no problems. I took it out in the neighborhood and it works as advertised, at least at the mid RPM range I tested - but its tough to hit a full throttle upshift at redline in the neighborhood

Will need to play around with the settings once I get somewhere more appropriate.....

Changed oil and final drive lube. Shit-canned K&N air filter and extra heavy duty clutch spring in favor of OEM.

Left to do:
Stock mufflers
Back out Dynojet Stage 1 kit
Stock handlebars.

Then ride.

Zx10

Installed flashed ecu, PCV, midpipe, and slip on. Also did dirt road seat with about an inch of extra foam, which helped greatly in the leg room department. Not crazy about how pipe looks, may have to go different route.

That ZX10 is sleek-looking.

I just ordered a new battery (and tender) for the Fizzy. The old tender crapped out, and thus so did the old battery. So the new one will go in next week as I try to get motivated to sell the ol' girl.

Some stuff is ok. I like a quiet bike, don't think much of K&N's on a stock bike, and the Satge 1 jet kit is not nearly as beneficial as an Ivan's on a gen1 FZ1. Woulda kept the drag bars, but they were so narrow, all I could see in the mirrors were my nostrils.

New windscreen on the Goldwing. Craigslist score. The original was all pitted.
New smoked double bubble Chinese windscreen on the R1.

Nice, enjoy the FJ with real suspenders, I hear it's quite nice.

Good to see riding weather finally hit Wisconsin and Min soota, about time.

I started the RS in the garage for a friend, vroom vroom it's raining. Got a new Z8 rear for an upcoming trip.

Dicking around with my new motard. The caliper bracket to relocate for the 320mm rotor won't fit. The company I ordered from has sent two and I could get neither to work. It would fit into the caliper but then I couldn't get the brake pads to fit. The retention pin wouldn't go through. I finally broke down and took it to the shop. Same issue. Two hours later, different clips, cut down bolts, and finally got it to work or so I thought. Now when the brakes get hot they pulse in the final pull. The first half of the pull while slowing it's fine but that last pull to stop it grabs and pulses. I took it all back apart today and cleaned everything, bled the lines, and rechecked everything. No luck still pulsing. Still the greatest bike I've ever ridden for grin factor.

Been in the 70s and 80s the last several days. 82 today.
I doubled the miles on the new Italian bike today. 320 on it now.
I can step up the RPMs now to 9k.

Watched my son drop the DRZ400 in the driveway yesterday. Not his fault, it is tall, and I got that bike to be beat on. Unfortunately I didn't realize how weak the magneto cover is on the DRZ, and with all the off road stuff the previous owner put on the bike he didn't put on any case savers. The factory shifter seems to be an issue in puncturing the cases too. So now I have a magneto cover, gasket, MSR shifter, and case savers for both sides on order.
