I bought an 12 FZ1 last fall that was converted to an FZ1N. I love the bike except for the bar end mirrors. These mirrors absolutely suck! I would like to add the traditional antenna like mirrors on the bars. What parts do I need to mount them? Are there any covers for the brake that have a threaded hole for the mirror?

I bought a set of Z1000 mirrors and simple handlebar adapters from Amazon.

Edit: I attached pics but for some reason they are not showing up.

I think you have to look in this thread:

You can get OEM like units on ebay for < $30. They are not exact shape, but every similar. Since you need 2 nobody would even notice.

I believe I read the FZ08 clutch perch uses the same levers and has mirror mount.

There were some Aprilia look alike mirrors reputed to be good, don't know if still around.
Need adapter for Yamaha brake side twist.

I used Napoleon Bar End mirrors and Ken Sean imitations. Both seem to be "No Longer Available."

Triumph and MotoGuzzi appear to have quality bar end mirrors.

My buddy found some bar end mirrors on Dennis Kirk, Parts Ulimited I think about $22 each plus shipping.

I've found a bar end weight (not large) added to the weight of the mirror assembly helps.

Top quality mirrors seem to start around $60 each and up. Sorting good from wannabes...

Guzzi claim theirs are the same Ducati used on some of their retro bikes, Guzzi used and keep them in parts inventory. Or something like that.

These are traditional style large rectangular mirrors.
