BMW R Nine T

I ran into one of these at the stealer the other day and I wondered to myself ( in Canyon Dancer style ) how many R1s can I poach with this thing

Sweet lookin ride. In the past they had a pretty soft suspension but they say it has been fixed.

That's the urban coffee shop version 110 hp with the Birkenstoc sandal option. Poaching is easier with any 125 hp W/C version of the Boxer, ESA electronic suspension being a worthy option. RS for me.

Moved to USD forks, but inner tubes has me thinking one step forward, two back.

I think the 2014 nineT was the better option over the Pure and the like from the current range. The motorcyclist commute video of the Pure talks about how the original was overbuilt and 'nicer than it needed to be' for the market. $15k, so they are probably right.

I just helped my riding buddy pick one up from LA for a great price. That bike just looks amazingly perfect! Best looking modern cafe from factory. All our other bikes (FZ1, S1000RR, S1000R, Hayabusa) fade in comparison.

AND that bike is just such a blast in the twisties. I was killing the corners without any sort of hanging off. Just throttle and torque out of the corners whereas on my other bikes I would be doing all the hanging off/knee down/out thing.

2017 models added fully adjustable forks which help. All standard R nine T have ABS and USD forks.

On a 3-day annual trip through the sierras.

All R9T have USD forks; 2017s just added fully adjustable ones. It's only the downmarket racer/scrambler/pure/Urban G/S that have female slider forks.

Thanks. I went back and read some history. Cool bike and it does look good. I'll bet it is a sleeper/poacher.

It is. Damn thing is so fun to ride. The moment you twist that throttle it feels so comfortable. No need to hang off in the corners - just torque out of them on the lean.

I had a dream about it last night and unfortunately I didn’t survive the wife’s wrath.

You bought the XR!!! Niiice. I think I rubbed my butt on it the other day

The one I saw here in McD is the reason I started looking into it. But that little poacher wouldn’t be the next in the stable if I were to add another. ( which I’m not ). But boy is it a looker
