Olympia 340 Kevlar reinforced full leather glove review

I was able to snag a used pair of these off of ebay and I wanted to give a review of them because I was immediately impressed.

These are full leather gloves, reinforced with Kevlar, sporting heavy plastic carbon look-a-like knuckles. They have foam armor all over the shell and double leather on all of the hi use areas.

The gauntlet is nicely built and covers my jacket cuff with plenty of room to spare.

Even though they are used the leather is a little stiff. With some heat and a little oil they should loosen up.

The vent works but it is a low flow. The hottest I have worn them is a 90 degree day and my hands got warm but not uncomfortable by any means.

The glove sizing is a true fit. I wear an xl and these fit very well.

These are by far the best made motorcycle gloves I have ever owned even thought they came to me used. I highly recommend them and look forward to wearing them on my longer rides.
Lean lowside and prepare to get wet!

I'm currently breaking in my second pair of them. I still have the first pair, but wore some holes in the fingers and palms after several years and many thousands of miles.

Bill Jinks, aka FUZ1ON, did a review of them probably 7 or 8 years ago. They have changed little if any since then.

Here is some discussion I started on them back in 2007:

I had a pair of those before I leaped to Helds. They were great gloves, I loved them. A friend of mine had a pair and crash tested them when he dumped his Ducati 1098S on Ohio Triple Nickel. They held up and saved his palm big time.

Thanks for the review. I'm in the market for a new pair.

What size did you get?
