Looking forward to ride reports from anyone else who is road testing these Metzelers. I'm super happy and will be purchasing another set soon.

Best,
Ron

Purchased a fresh set of Z8's and mounted the rear for a scrub in. the OEM front now has 6200 on it and still grips like new.
Now I wait for temps to cool and another Arkansas rip this fall, keep your comments and observations coming.

Quick note to the group: I've received my rebate from Metzeler for recent purchase. Hope others are receiving theirs as well.

Best,
Ron

Received my rebate card after 11 weeks today too. About 4,000 miles on the tires I think they're great

I still use them, the combo of the Z8 front and Roadtec01 rear just works on the R1200RS. 4500-6000 miles on a set depending on which road trip and with who. Grip is great, zero warm up time and Metzlers are less bothered with tar snakes. No surprises when the rear gets thin, consistent to the end, so is the $190 always price. Not big sellers in the US.
I'm down to one torque bike but would like to know how they perform on a 180 HP high RPM platform.

Appearance and the Roadtec front looks noisy
Slightly less expensive
I can smear the Elephant logo to the edge, stick with what works
Turn in and trail braking behavior are good
