I had trouble above 65 mph, I am using 33db plugs. In addition the range is not that good, only line of sight (as the others too) but there can be problems when a car or two are between you and the other.

However pairing and everything works very well and the battery life is long enough for a full riding day if you do not hear continuously music. In case you need music all the time the 10R would last about 7h in my case so plan for an extra battery pack.

If you seek premium battery life then get the SMH10. The battery life on that is very impressive.

Range depends on the conditions that are outside and around you. power lines and what not. I dont ride in the groups often, but when I was at the Gap with FJS guys we had no issue keeping in touch. It is really area dependent, but so are the other units. This has more positive reviews.

As far as battery life goes. 2 yrs ago on the way to GAP my SMH10 streaming music non stop lasted about 10 hours. What is great about this system is you can plug it in and continue enjoying your music while it is charging. But this really only effects small minority group

The SMH10R will go louder than you ever need. Wish it had more bass but it still sounds great. The control is very logical. I like the voice prompt voice. Works great with iPhone. Not really something you want to swap out often. Takes about 15 minutes to install.
