Shoei CWF-1 Shield

Hi,

Does anyone have experience with this shield? I would like to have the tearoffs for long rides when the bugs are really bad. I also don't know what "The shield surface is flat so tear offs can lay across the viewing port" means.

Maybe I can just take the standard shield & put my own "pins" on it to work with the Shoei tearoffs.

Thanks,

MrHix

Turn your helmet so that you are looking at the shield from the side and can see its profile. You'll notice it has a slight curve. The tear-off screen film is a non-elastic and not pre-curved. So the mounting screen needs to be flat so the tear-off film can wrap tightly against it.

Where are you going to stash the tear offs that you tear off? Surely you're not going to just toss them in the breeze are you?

So it is flat in the vertical direction. I guess that makes sense.

Thanks,

I'm hoping that they are biodegradable!

I think I will put them in a pocket of the jacket I am wearing.

Cheers,
