Those work better for me than the Laser's. I had not heard of the 3M E-A-Rsoft FX in the original article posted above, however, so I'll be on the lookout for a single of those.

I'm a huge fan of the Etymotic Research ear plugs. Etymotic makes fantastic earphones for your listening devices too. I have problems keeping the "foamy" ear plugs in place. The Etymotic's basically "plunge" into your ear and have a nice string that connects the two. For the price they are the best I have found and they fit fine under my balaclava and helmet or whatever. I rarely see people using earplugs correctly. You have to compress them and insert into the ear canal, so they can expand to block the canal. That may be why you are having trouble
