I worked on fishing boats for most of the 70s, and we caught quite a few of the warm water version. We froze the tails (of what we were allowed to keep) quickly and immediately, and they were great. Different from Maine lobster, of course, but similar. Overcooking is about the only way to mess them up.

I’m sure you will have a fabulous product, and good luck to you!

Pete I just saw this, congrats!! I have no doubt you will succeed.

I like lobster but agree it too much trouble to cook.

I'll be a sampler!!!! Wifey and I love Lobster (and steak).
FWIW there is a Cousins Maine lobster food truck around here that is killing it and giving a good value of Meat/$$. Anytime there is a festival around here and they are there, my food choice is pretty easy.

I do a good bit of freelancing on top of the full-timer, yeah. Also still have do a bit of work with some talented art directors/designers back in LA (and have a few contacts in MA, now, too).

The top photo makes the bottom one confusing.
Plus add a third language if Dallas FW is your first market area.

It's not a photo. It is a cut out on the box. It is nothing I would have envisioned but I am not a package designer. I had the best design firm in Canada (in my opinion) develop this for me. I could have bought a car instead. lol. They just don't make a pretty design, these things are studied endlessly and the design is meant to create an image and a look for a brand. It gets pretty airy fairy early in the process with a lot of talk about look and feel and messages but then it keeps getting boiled down to something that meets the original marketing concept.
I love it and I have shown it to others in the industry and they really like it so if this project dies it won't be because of the packaging.

Peta doesn't approve of boiling lobster but the high pressure system used to remove the shell kills them instantly. Not that I lose any sleep over how these sea insects die but some people care so it is another reason to buy mine.

The bottom photo looks like some sort of ooze from a sci-fi movie.

I have to admit, I see sexual organs, but I like the card and top picture itself. I reckon there is nothing you can do about lobster looking like lobster.

What you guys don't see is that there is only one photo. The box is cut out so you see the actual lobster.
That said sexual organs might not be a bad thing lol.

Instead of "uncooked", can you call it "fresh"? Same thing, but sounds better.

No you can't call frozen products fresh but you hit on a subject that was discussed endlessly.
