Got it!

I was being hesitant - not wanting to lose access to my original gauges so i was powering on the SS182 externally and just feeding it the fuel wire from the bike. That didn't work so I went balls to the wall and just cut everything off the oem gauges.

Turns out it works! Fuel looks good, turn signals and neutral work. It's picking up my rpms (needs adjustment in the settings though I think) And I'll have to test speed later when the bikes together - but it works!

Thanks for the help guys. Now I just gotta work on the fan at some point, for now it'll just be wired to ignition.

Now a question: So that the dash is doesn't lose settings everything I turn the bike off, is it really ok to give it a feed directly to the battery as the manual says, or will it drain the battery too much over time?
