Spools

Has anyone ever drilled, tapped and mounted spools on a gen1 swingarm?

I wouldn't trust drilling and tapping that swing arm without reinforcement. They make rear stand adapters for bikes that don't have spools.

+1 Adapters or a different stand before modifying the swingarm. My decades old Lockhart Phillips universal stand finally gave it up last year and picked up an inexpensive CycleGear/Revzilla rear stand that includes arms for both spools and swingarm.
