Now that Purolator Oil Filter does not work.....
...what are some oil fliters that have been tried and found to be acceptable? What seems to be the most popular. Post what you tried and like.

I did some research and found that Napa proselect fits fz1. I checked their parts finder for fitment.
For 5 bucks it's not bad but haven't put it on my bike yet. |

Check the forum for multiple choices, lists as a matter of fact of filters that fit, both in Canadia and US.

I've been using the Fram PH6017A. Works good so far. And the return/supply (?) holes are not only bigger, there are two more than the Purolator. I have pics of them side by side somewhere. I may have even posted them here.

Why does the Purolator oil filter not work?
I use the L14612 on everything. Works for me. |

I measured the current Purolator vs a Fram. Added an O-ring to the filter mount stud. Been running it for almost 1k miles. No leaks. |

That's perfect! That is what I wanted to post up. That Bosch looks just like the Purolator on the business end, and that Fram 6607 looks just like the 6017. Great comparison photo.
