Hottest team in baseball in July. Just swept the second 4 game series on the road. Buster Posey goes 4-5, two more doubles to add to his .432 avg. Gigantes are 16-6, and had a 6 and 1 road trip.

October baseball in San Fran baybee!!!

And I'm going to the day game this Thursday!!! Been ages since my last one, and I've been to 12 this season so far.

Josh Hamilton's hitting out of his mind. He batted .454 with a slugging percentage of .815 and 31 ribbies in June, and won the Offensive Player of the Month. He's still hot in July - for the month, he's batting .405, but .481 over the past week. Unconscious.

He's seven points ahead in the AL batting title race, at .357.

Go, Josh, go!!

Posey just passed Orlando Cepeda for 2nd place as a rookie Giant with an 18 game hitting streak. Willie McCovey is #2 with 22.

For July the kid leads the NL in hitting (.469) slugging (.815) and OBP (.511)

He's a rookie who just came up May 29th!

Kid has a cannon. Word got out fast too. In 56 games Bengie played, they had 47 bases stolen against them. With Posey? In 46 games only 12 stolen!!! He's thrown out 43% percentage of runners. Compare that to someone like oh, Joe Mauer? Last years MVP? He's thrown out 20%. Teams are just not running any more with the kid back there.

He's freakin' incredible at the plate, and behind the dish.

I wish the Reds had kept him. Let's hope he can keep his sobriety.

Well, we shall see about that one, Erik! Yes, my lovely Dodgers are falling on hard times as of late. I think they have only won five games since the All Star break.
Who knows if the stars aline correctly, maybe, and i mean maybe, the Giants MIGHT finally win a World Series on the west coast! Hmm, then they would only need to win three more to catch my Dodgers for number of World Series wins on said coast. Lets see, 1963, 1965, 1981, and 1988.
Anyway, i am still somewhat sick with cold/flu, so today will be baseball afternoon on t.v. with my lovely Dodgers, playing the forever "brides maid" Giants! LOL!
Oh yes, hope to see you up north in a few weeks, if i am still alive! LOL!

The Dodgers? Yah, they were my team when I was a kid in NY. Gil Hodges, Carl Furillo, Duke Snyder, Roy Campenella, Jackie Robinson, et al. Then the dummies left me high and dry and went to L.A. Dem bums. All I can say is "Beat L.A."

Before MLB came to Texas I was a Milwaukee Braves fan. Spahn, Burdette, Mathews, and Aaron. But then I saw the greatest player of all time play. From that time on growing up 'Say Hey' Willie Mays and the Giants were my team.

Musta been awesome to grow up in New York with the Dodgers, Giants and Yankees.

La dodgers are dirt bags. Always will be. Jose Padilla is their #1 dirtbag followed by Blake the rest of the vermin.

Dean:

I feel your pain...living here in Houston. In the last week they traded our Ace - Roy Oswalt and all-star first baseman Lance Berkman. The Astros really suck now...I have first row seats behind the 3rd base dugout and cannot even give these seats away.

WTS both Berkman and Oswalt went to contenders and deserve a chance to go out on top.

Well, truth to tell jredford, i really don't care that much about baseball. I just like to give Erik/Desmo a rough time! LOL! My true love is my lovely LAKERS!
Now that being said, there are just two words to sum up the current play of the Dodger "Bums" in L.A. "Dog Squeeze" fits the bill, methinks! LOL!
