I really like Alex Gonzalez and it was nice to see Rick Ankiel show of his arm on a throw into the infield last night.

My 5-year is the BIGGEST Braves fan....trust me, every night we HAVE to watch and knows what time and who's pitching at least a day in advance!
Giants start @ the hothouse tonight. They're either from LA or SF, I forget which.

Gigantes will be lucky to split this series.

How's this for a first day in the bigs:
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...rticle1665653/

Quote:
A home run on his first big-league pitch. A double, single and another homer in the at-bats that followed. A curtain call where fans showered him with adoration. The crowd of 24,168 chanting his name.

That's the stuff of fairy tales when it comes to a debut in the majors.

That was J.P. Arencibia's afternoon Saturday.

Yeah and I bet that is overstated. Toronto won't watch losing teams with the notable exception of the Maple Leafs who have been in a bit of a slump lately (44 years).
When the Blue jays were good they sold out every game.

So I show you a young man's astounding achievement and you focus on that. You are like Beavis and Butthead at the Grand Canyon. They were completely uninterested in all the spectacular sites but were amazed by the self flushing urinal. "That is the coolest thing I've ever seen"

I love B&B

Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing debut.

When I was married my wife sent me into my younger son's room to make them quiet. I went in and he was with a bunch of 12 year old boys laughing. I looked at the TV and it was B& B do America and it caught my attention before i could tell them to be quiet. About 20 minutes later my wife opens the door and sees all the boys still laughing with me in the center loudest of all. She just shook her head and closed the door. "Are we gonna score?"

Q are you watching the game? Morrow just lost a no hitter in the 9th with 2 down. Ugh.

Yah, going into this series I felt they'd be lucky to win one of four. And they were really lucky to get the one game.

Nah I missed it. The Jays are taking over from the Expos. Develop great talent and then trade them for a box of Cracker Jacks.

Jays skipped Lincecum and picked Morrow in the draft. Seems to be working pretty well. 17 K's today. Impresive stuff. We'll give you two boxes for him.

Tone, he's quickly becoming the fans favorite. He's a good kid. Right in the head. Not an ounce of ego on display. Gets up there and does his thing. No flash, no bs. Very nice to see. All the vets like him too. Tied the Giants rookie record for hitting streaks with some guy named McCovey.
